Report A Concern About An Adult

Report A Concern To Bracknell

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.

If you are concerned about someone, please phone Adult Social Care on 01344 351500.

Or you can report your concern using our online form.

If emergency help is required when the office is closed, the Emergency Duty Team can be contacted on 01344 351999.

If you think someone is in immediate danger please phone emergency services on 999. Do not put yourself or anyone else at risk.

What will happen next?

In response to your contact, trained staff will carry out a careful and sensitive enquiry. What happens then will depend on the wishes of the person and the seriousness of their situation. If they are in physical danger, ensuring their safety will take priority.

Information and advice will be offered so that the person can make an informed choice about any practical help they need or action they wish to take. If they are unable to make an informed choice, care will be taken to support and protect them.

Report A Concern To Reading

If you are experiencing abuse, or are worried about another adult you believe may be experiencing abuse, contact Reading Adult Social Care:

If you think a crime has been committed but it is not an emergency, call Thames Valley Police on 101.

Report A Concern to Slough

Whoever you are, if you see, hear or know something that concerns you and you suspect a person is being harmed or abused, you must report what you know. The worst thing you can do is nothing.

Report A Concern To West Berkshire

If you think that you, or someone you know, is being abused there are ways in which you can get help.

Take action straight away:

  • if you or the person are in immediate danger of being harmed call the police on 999 
  • if there is an immediate risk to your or the person's health or there is a medical emergency - call 999 and ask for the ambulance service

Everyone has the right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect. If you are concerned about the welfare of a vulnerable adult you should report the abuse.
